Harm Reduction is HIV prevention.

We have always supported and worked on proven science-based harm reduction techniques. Our current harm reduction campaign is to open Overdose Prevention Sites to combat the hundreds of accidental deaths by fentanyl.

In 1991 ACT UP was instrumental in establishing Prevention Point Philadelphia, the sterile syringe exchange program. Harm Reduction is also safe and affordable housing for HIV prevention. Here is a link to the Harm Reduction Coalition’s Principles of Harm Reduction - Harm Reduction Coalition.
