The Racial Justice Working Group began from an acknowledgement that HIV impacts Black communities disproportionately. The Group works toward ensuring that Black and Brown voices are listened to and centered, and that white people check their privilege and are accountable to themselves, each other, and the group as a whole.

ACT UP Philly has always supported and worked on proven science-based harm reduction techniques including syringe exchange and safe, affordable housing.
