HIV impacts Black communities disproportionately, but ACT UP Philly is mostly white. The Racial Justice Working Group works toward ensuring that Black and Brown voices are always centered, and that white people do the work and consistently check their privilege.

ACT UP Philly has always supported and worked on proven science-based harm reduction techniques including syringe exchange and safe, affordable housing.
